Advancing Excellence in America's Nursing Homes is a coalition-based, two-year campaign launched in September 2006 focused on reinvigorating efforts to improve the quality of care and quality of life for those living or recuperating in America's nursing homes. The campaign's coalition includes long-term care providers, caregivers, medical and quality improvement experts, government agencies, consumers and others. |

Our national affiliate, the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (AAHSA), helps millions of individuals and their families every day through mission-driven, not-for-profit organizations dedicated to providing the services that people need, when they need them, in the place they call home. AAHSA is comprised of 5,700 member organizations, many of which have served their communities for generations, offering a continuum of aging services: adult day services, home health, community services, senior housing, assisted living residences, continuing care retirement communities and nursing homes. AAHSA's commitment is to create the future of aging services through quality people can trust. |

Better Jobs Better Care is a 4-year $15.5 million research and demonstration program, funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and The Atlantic Philanthropies. The program seeks to achieve changes in long-term care policy and practice that help to reduce high vacancy and turnover rates among direct care staff across the spectrum of long-term care settings and contribute to improved workforce quality. Through two types of grant programs - Demonstration Programs and Applied Research and Evaluation Programs - Better Jobs Better Care will test new approaches to providing a more stable and qualified long-term care staff and systematically evaluate what works best to achieve this objective. |

The Center for Aging Services Technologies (CAST) is leading the national charge to develop and deploy technologies that can improve the aging experience in America. Established in 2003, CAST has become a national coalition of more than 400 technology companies, aging services organizations, research universities, and government representatives focusing on: 1) Driving a national vision of how technologies can improve the quality of life for seniors while reducing healthcare costs; 2) Accelerating technology R&D pilots with seniors to fulfill this vision; 3) Advocating to remove barriers to the rapid commercialization of proven solutions; and 4) Promoting national dialogue about standards to ensure interoperability and widespread access to aging services technologies. |

The Institute for the Future of Aging Services is a policy research institute housed within the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging whose mission is to create a bridge between the practice, policy and research communities to advance the development of high-quality health, housing and supportive services for America’s aging population. The Institute provides a forum for professionals, policymakers and the public to explore and foster policies and programs that will meet the needs of an aging society through the development of healthy aging communities. |
